Intensive Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have caused blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced problems to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and applying penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles struck energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes come after periods of air raids in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
