Exactly four and a half months following Russell Martin's initial media briefing as the club's head coach, successor the German coach faced reporters at Ibrox for the first time.

The scale of the challenge facing him is well known, given his predecessor's chaotic and disappointing 123-day tenure.

The former Wednesday manager was joined by club chairman Andrew Cavenagh, along with the frequently questioned pair of football director Kevin Thelwell and CEO Stewart.

But what precisely was revealed from the 36-year-old German's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

The Manager's Main Priority - Victory is Everything

A single message came through clearly from Rohl's first appearance in front of the Scottish media - he understands the necessity to secure victories, and achieve this quickly.

The previous manager Russell Martin lasted only 17 matches and 123 days as manager, so the question arose about what timeframe Rohl thinks is realistic to transform the underperforming squad.

Although deftly avoiding a direct answer that might create future pressure, Rohl's message was quite clear.

"With hope as soon as possible," he stated. "This is crucial.
"In football you have not much opportunity. You can discuss long-term vision but it's understood it concerns immediate results and the short-term is about securing victories. That is my requirement.
"One thing is also clear - I require every squad member to understand how we want to play. I come back to my primary message: victory comes first, it's attractive and unity. If you follow this sequence, I'm convinced that I'll stay for years at the club."

Expectations are Standard

Martin required a police escort to exit the stadium after his last game in charge.

We've witnessed how hostile situations can turn at football clubs when performances are poor. Protests have almost become an expected part of the matchday experience on both sides of the city these days.

As Rangers' youngest ever head coach, the inquiry asked about what qualities Rohl believes he possesses that would enable him to cope, let alone excel, in one of the highest-pressure roles in British football?

"In my opinion expectations in football is normal," he stated. "You must learn that rapidly.
"I think certain individuals could reference my youth but I'm a decade and a half on this path. I had a great chance to work with the German club and be only an assistant manager, but I felt what it means to manage a team and the demands you face.
"When you start getting results and then certain people will say you need to produce entertaining soccer. That becomes the phase but precisely my intention. I enjoy those expectations and I look forward about what's ahead."

The Sporting Director Defends Chermiti Signing & Appointing Family Member

Kevin Thelwell media conference

There were numerous inquiries from journalists directed at Thelwell.

Much discussion has concerned the appointment of his son as recruitment chief, with fans unconvinced about his qualifications for the role.

However, he defended and explained the choice to recruit Thelwell Jnr to the club.

"It remains awkward to listen and optically I think we all agreed when we took this step to hire him that he would be seen negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The truth of the situation is that we aim to bring the top talent here.
"My perspective on his professional path and background is he required no family help in soccer.
"He served at Aston Villa as a senior scout, after which he moved to Norwich as head of scouting and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, two Premier League clubs sought to acquire him. Our approach from the beginning of proceedings was consult with the CEO, the chairman and vice-chairman Paraag Marathe about this matter.
"I remained highly transparent and I think he likely experienced a more rigorous procedure than anybody else employee by this football club.
"What I do know is that he'll labor constantly to achieve success for Rangers and I'm looking forward seeing him proving that he's going to be a valuable staff member for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the signing of striker Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at the club for an alleged initial fee of £8m, having failed to find the net in 24 games for Everton.

The sporting director who transferred the Portuguese youth international to Merseyside from Sporting - once more for significant money in a fifteen million pound deal.

He was asked if he supports his multi-million pound purchase, who hasn't yet score in seven matches for Rangers.

"Yes, completely," Thelwell responded. "I believe Youssef Chermiti represents who's got huge potential.
"I haven't doubted him whatsoever. Similarly, I think the manager will help to get the best out of Youssef.
"These are early days for him, he remains promising prospect and naturally with young talents they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain over the course of his time here he'll demonstrate that he is highly capable footballer."

The CEO Acknowledges Supporters' Disappointment and Anger

The chief executive was facing firing line, considering the vitriol that has been directed at him by some club fans.

Additionally, there was a banner in the stadium during the last tie with Dundee United suggesting Stewart - and Thelwell - to pack his bags before being removed for him.

Like his football director, the CEO did not evade the issue.

"I totally understand the frustration and hurt that the supporters are feeling because performances this season haven't met expectations and nobody's satisfied with them," he said.
"The pain and frustration fans experience is matched inside the leadership.
"Recognize that there has to be a channel for that dissatisfaction and as chief executive, that's me.
"I serve as lightning rod for those and my role as a
